STEP ROCKS!!

Heya people! Well, went for STEP programme. STEP means Singapore-Thailand Enhanced Partnership. It was a 1 week programme with the Satri Si Suriyothai School. We had a 4 day camp stay at LAC. LAC is Labrador Adventure Centre. We had so much fun there.
On DAY 1, we had to meet in school early in the morning with our stuff packed for the camp. Then we went to the airport to pick up our Thai partners. At first we thought that they took the Thai Airways so we went to terminal 1 to pick them up. Then we waited for like an hour but they didn't turn up. Then don't know they say that it is at terminal 2 where they sat SQ here. So in the end we went to terminal 2 and they waited for us like for 1/2 an hour. We apologised and then proceeded to the campside. We were so unfamiliar with our partners at first. But then during the camp, we bonded like mad. When we were in the bus, they were giving us so many souveniers. We got many things. The TKGians were me, namreena, charlene, karen, vaish, tracy, audrey and vanessa. My partner was pla, namreena's one is popor, charlene's one is paint but we call her pen, karen's one is pang, vaish one is yayah, tracy'sone is ham, audrey's one is tennis and vanessa's one is sung. We were like strangers with each other and didnt talk much to each other on the bus. All we did was to talk among ourselves as we only knew more about each other. The Thai people were also talking among themselves as well but in Thai. When we reached the campsite, we had lunch and the opening ceromony at the canteen. We were then introduced to our facilitator, IVAN. Our team mane is NAK KAE. He told us the story behind it. He said that it is suposse to mean PLENTY but then it is actually OLD FACE in Thai. Sowe kept making fun saying that he has a nak kae. He made us play bonding games like the different kampong games and also ice-breaker games. Then we went for dinner in the evening and then had supper and bathtime. Then after all that, we went to sleep. We could sleep so the TKGians sat at tracy and vaish's bed to talk until Ivan came and asked us to sleep then we slept.
On DAY 2, we woke up at like 6am and went to wash up and had breakfast at 7am. We then went up to the hall for morning stretch. The stretch made my muscles ache even more man. Then we played team games and learned their Thai games like the fishing which was tiring but fun and also the "Ti...." game. Then we had the 'PAIR SHERPA WALK'. It is to build confidence between us and out buddies. One of us was blindfolded and the other has to sort of 'take care' of our buddy. It was quite scary but fun. Then we had the 'HUMAN LADDER'. Wah seh. That made everyone's thigh ache like mad. We had to us these brown small poles to support our friends weight. All 15 of us have to support 1 of us. I had some blisters on my hand but it's better now. Then we have to make out way through climbimg the ladder across a distance. We will have to check the ladder by saying "LADDER READY?" Then they will reply "LADDER READY". Then we will be climbing but before that we will say, "CLIMBING". Then the others will reply "CLIMB ON". Everyone went for it and it was difficult but fun. When i went, i fell like once but i got back on my feet and went across succesfully. We then went for the "ROPE ELEMENT COMPETITION" and later had the "ROPE COURSE FAIR". I went for the high element thing and also the wall falling thing. I don't know what's that. After that we had BBQ dinner and later had shower. We had to start the fire and Ivan and the other team, BADANG whose facilitator is EVONNE, helped each other out. We were like worshiping the fire. We learnt their school cheer. What "COMI TEE COMI TEE, what MAI MAI". And also the "SULU SAM BALU, SULU MALI KAN". After the BBQ dinner and the shower, we went to sleep. But before that, we had a FASHION SHOW. PLA and PAINT went MODELLING and that made us not being able to sleep. Many people came to watch. Ms Kuah and Evonne watched it and we were laghing like mad. Then we couldn't sleep even though we had to. The camp coodinator came to sort of SCOLD us and we were a little scared.
On DAY 3, we woke up at 5.30am and went to wash up and had breakfast at the canteen. Suddenly the camp coodinator called out group and said that we were the best team cause we arranged out shoes neatly unlike other groups. When she mentioned our group, we thought we going to kena from yesterday's scolding but surprisingly we got praised. Then we were SUPOSSED TO DO TEAM CHALLENGE BUT WE HAD TO "WASH THE TOILET!" We were so angry that we couldn't play the team challenge games. We and Badang had to wash the toilet. After that, we went for lunch and then went to CCAC to do KAYAKING! It was damn fun man. We GOT REALLY WET AND STINKY but it was SUPER FUN. Although kayaking and rowing the boat can be tiring, but once you would feel so happy as it is so fun. Pla gt seasick halfway and i had to take her back to shore. At first i was quite sad that i could not play longer but i had to consider pla's situation. So i rowed to another boat like mad and rested there with the other people who were not feeling well. I was so envious of everyone who had the chance to play longer while i couldn't. Then we showered there. It was so damn gross in the shower. There were many things 'floating' around. We wanted to get back to the place asap. When we got back, we had dinner and also had to prepare for the campfire. Ivan chose us to perform the story about nak kae during the campfire. At that moment, we were so angry as we did not do anything at all. We didn't even practised it and he chose us. When it was only left with 5 min, we were panicking like siow. We have not even acted out the whole thing at that time. So we just did a last minute performance and it turned out quite splendid. Then we understood that Ivan chose us to perform because he believed that even though there is no rehearsals, we still could do it. After campfire, there was a AFTR CAMPFIRE PARTY. They played songs that both singporeans and thai knew. There was 'low', there was 'jenny' and there was 'high school musical'. We performed our dance that had the song 'accidentally in love'. Aftet the AFTER CAMFIRE PARTY, we went to shower once more and then had supper and went to bed. We could sleep much better as we went kayaking and it was more tiring than the other days.
On DAY 4, we woke up at 6am and had to wash up, pack our bags and had to take our breakfast. We then had to clean the dining area again WITH BADANG. Then we went to the hall to do our tile design that the 2 schools have to give as an exchange gift. Once it was done. we had the closing ceremony for STEP and then left for school for the HOME STAY. We were MISSING IVAN AND EVONNE already once we left the campsite. Then when we went back to school, we were so excited. Like never see the school for so long like that. We had a buffet lunch there. Sort of like a 'THANK-YOU HOSTING TEA SESSION". Our parents met our buddies and brought them home together with us to spend the rest of the day together. Tracy and ham, audrey nd tennis went to sit the flyer with their families at night while charlene was shopping with paint at vivo and swimming her condo. At night, i brought pla to my mother's club, rtc (raffles town club) to have dinner and then went home to rest and have a good sleep.
On DAY 5, we went to school to introduce them to the school and then they had 2 periods of class together with us. Pla was like so tired and sleeping in class. Then when the recess bell rang, we went to change into our own clothes and went for the learning journey trip to chinatown, hort park, henderson waves and SENTOSA. We went to hort park to see the different variety of flower that they have. It's like the smaller version of botanic gardens. Then we went to Sentosa. We went to see the MERLION and went inside, then to the IMAGES OF SINGAPORE, then to the LUGE, the SKYRIDER and then SONGS OF THE SEA. The luge was damn fun. It's like go kart but no fuel needed. Their motto is 'once is never enough'. True enough, many of us wanted to sit again. Then for the sky rider, i and pla say with charlene and paint. Namreena and popor sat together. Then we went to watch songs of the sea. Damn nice also. Cause the last time i went to sentosa i saw the musical fountain and not songa of the sea. Then we went to the henderson waves to take a photo. It was just a 5 to 10 min walk up and down. We went there at night so it was weird. We ran up and down a slopy hill. We then went back to school and our parents piacked us back from there. We went home and had a good rest.
On DAY 6, we went to MUSTAFA CENTRE to shop and shop for souveniers and for chocolates that the Thai people wanted to buy. I spent $16.40 and pla spent $70.30. Look at the difference. Then we went back home and headed for the FAREWELL DINNER @ NTU ALUMNI CLUBHOUSE. We wore clothes like to prom. I didn't but the rest of them did. I only wore a nice top with a skirt. Looked like just a casual occasion but they wore SUPER nice dresses. Then there were performances that the Thai people had to do. Like play their kind of games. Then they showed the video of the whole STEP programme. When we sang auld lang syne, ham, sung and tennis started crying and everyone started to cry as well. Our principal, mrs lim, did their school cheer together with us. Then we went back to school and again our parents picked us back home and had a last night with us.
On DAY 7 which was the last day, we brought them to school to have their last assembly with us before they left. Then we went to take them on a tour around our school. After the tour, we went to the homec room to cook the GETUK UBI and the BOR BOR CHA CHA. It was quite nice but many of them didn't really like it. After that, the principal and the vice-principals bidded farewell to them and we left for the airport with them. When they had to leave us already, i don't know is it ms kuah or ms rica, told tracy a story and that made her cry. Then eveyone cried as well. The teachers said that they controlled it although tey wanted to let it out. Then we cried like crazy. Vanessa, sung, ham and tennis cried the most, At first namreena and charlene said that it was difficult for them to cry but in the end, charlene cried. Then we went to macs to eat lunch after they left. We sat there with out meals and talked for quite some time. Then we all went home and said that we wanted to do our homework. I went home, bathed and went to eat dinner. Then went to sent my sister off to aurtalia. Back to the airport again and came back to blog about it. We missed everyone in the STEP programme. We had this day that we were the honoured ones to serve some part of the meal to the teachers and the VIPs. Then vanessa also learned a dance from sung and paint. We had this secret about SARAH AND AERON. There is a cheer that we made and it is:

Hahas. Surprisingly, Ham also likes DBSK. She likes JAE JOONG and YUN HO. She says jae joong is her brother but she likes yun ho more. I miss choir and my classes. Although quite boring to be back in class again but it's ok. Well, i'm tired now. Got to resume back to normal lessons tomorrow. Yawn. See you peeps next time! moving house..

Hey peeps, sorry for not blogging so long. Cause i had no internet connection when i was in the moving house period. Only got it yesterday at like lunchtime. Wheew! Moving house is indeed a very tiring yet satisfying job. You hate it when you have to move the things up and down and they are like so heavy but when you pack them nicely in the room, you feel so relieved and satisfied.
I moved like further away from my pevious home. Before that, i lived in kovan and now! I moved to hougang. It's like further and many people say why we move further away and not nearer. Well, didn't want to spend so much money on the previous house as it has a high electricity bill consumption unlike the house that i'm living in now. Anyways, the type of house that i used to live in before was a terace (if spell wrongly, sorry) house. Now i'm living in a HDB house so the bills are cheaper. And also because of one problem. My previous house's television screen is like sai, cannot even see properly. Only suria so clear, then channel 5, channel 8, channel news asia and kids central all so bad. The channel which has the worst tv quality screen was channel u. It's all because of the lousy antena.
Wah seh! I tell you, can't stand it la. Well, lucky now's the holiday period and it's much more relaxing. I've got STEP t worry about and many other homeworks. Aiyah! Just my luck la. For secondary school students, usually holidays are not really holidays to us. Cause there are so many homeworks for us to do. But still, at least we can catch up on some stuffs that we are unclear about in school mah right?
Anyways, i've listened to DBSK's 'Hug' mv and ahh! CHANGMIN was so cute playing with the small kitten. Although i dislike cats and kittens, but CHANGMIN was so cute man! I just find him more cuter and more handsome if he had shorter hair unlike the longer style. Cause it looks weird on him. Shorter hairstlye like te one in the 'Hug' mv. Hahahs. Well, i'll blog some other time again. Got to go now, bye peeps. :D
