SYF Rehearsal at VCH and CLAP Programme

Hey hey, yesterday the choir had the SYF rehearsal at VCH from 10 plus to 2 plus. Me, evangeline and si en left class at 10am. That day we only had lessons for chinese. Mr seah was on reservist and mrs tan ching yi didn't come. Then we missed chem and lagacy. But there's no chem homework fortunately. For the SYF rehearsal, it was okay but ms lim said that our sound was very trapped on the stage and wasn't able to fill the whole theatre. After the rehearsal, we went back to school and had our lunch. Zj, yy, yan jie, dan hong, laura and i went to eat at magic wok. The CLAP programme at raffles place was also okay but it wasn't good. Practically, we couldn't really hear the people around us so each individual had to project their sound out more. Even though most people couldn't really much hear the person next to them, i could hear warissara quite clearly. She was blasting all the sound out cause the audience was not really able to hear. Everyone was also blasting cause i could sense the spirit of sop 1 around.
Heh heh, spirit of sop 1 sounds so creepy. Anyways, after the CLAP programme, the usual sop 1 people went to eat dinner together. I went to eat yoshinoya with zj, yy, yan jie and vivi. Alethea didn't join us cause i think she most probably had something on. Tat huey said that she had piano lesson so she didn't join us too. After eating at yoshinoya, the 5 of us went to walk around raffles place park shoppnig centre. We saw that there wasn't really much to shop around so we went to the OUB Centre which was opposite the shopping centre that we had shopped in earlier. We went there and had lots of fun walknig around.
When we passed by this TRIUMPH shop, we saw this particular type of bra that they were promoting and then zj commented that it looked like a hole in a circle. After that, yan jie and i kept laughing non-stop until we reached a hello kitty shop. There was this other shop that was like if you want to sell your stuff, you can sell it in a box. Then yy saw this POCAHONTAS character figure and she said that it looked like the wind blew her hair halfway and left it hanging there. Me and yan jie continued laughing about it also. Then when we went to a CD shop and we saw JJ Lin's album and it showed him spitting water out of his mouth. We kept laughing about it as well. Surprisingly, we saw that SHINee's AMIGO album was in singapore, finally. We also saw many other DBSK albums plus their 4th japanese album which had the survivor song inside. After all that shopping around, we decided to head home as it was getting late. Then as we walked into the mrt station, it was super croweded.
Me and yy went the other way cause we were heading for doby gaut and the rest of them were on the east-west line. During our trip on the mrt back to hougang, yy kept laughing and laughing until her face was red like a tomato. When we reached hougang mrt station, i followed yy to return her library book and we also went to see the ew comics connection shop. I was so happy cause they sold boys over flowers stuff. But sadly, they didn't sell posters like theold one used to. Me and yy kept bending down to see the DBSK stuffs but we couldn't stand up cause we were laughing and laughing non-stop. You know why? It's because of the people's behaviour in the mrt station and the way people saw both of us as we walked into hougang mall. The situation was like this;
Announcement: Train from --- to ---, full. Passengers please board the next train.
People: (kept rushing into the train with weird faces) Hahahas.
Then at comics connection, we saw a pair DBSK socks that they were selling and we made a joke out of it. It was like this;
Junsu: Oh look! A coin!
Yoo chun: Where? Yun ho, help me pick up.
Yun ho: Don't bother me! I'm looking at Jae joong's aps.
Jae joong: Happy looking yun ho, i'm looking at yours.
Changmin: What's happening?
WAK KA KA KA! So funny. Then there was this incident that when my and yy were walking out of the mrt station to hougang mall, this guy asked us the fastest way to get to hougang ave 6. We just told him to go by the exit to hougang central.
I was asking yy, what if we told him the wrong info? Then when he ask other people, he would say something like this; "There were 2 green girls who told me the wrong direction. One was holding onto a green frog with BIG EYES that looked like they were going to pop out and it also had a COCKED EYE!" Everytime i say COCKED EYED, yy will laughing until she fall on the floor. Hahas. We saw the triumph thingy at hougang mall also, and we kept laughing at it too. After going to comics connection, we went to sit in the library for a while cause our legs were aching. We left at 8.35pm and then walked back home. Yesterday was fun but tiring, i bet zj, yy, yan jie and my diaphragm is so good now after all that laughing. Vivi didn't really laugh a lot but she did laugh.
Aish, so funny. I've got to go now, got a lot of A-maths homework to do as well as bio. I've also got to study for my chinese oral on monday. I'm so stupid, i forgot to bring back my 30 a-maths holiday assignment so i have to rush it on monday. Sianz... Anyways, at first i put 'TAEMIN' on my class tee but yy suggested 'wee wee' so i told divya to change it for me. I wanted to put that but because i was in a rush to leave class yesterday for the SYF and CLAP programme, i just said taemin. Yay! I'm so happy, bye! :D

The start of a new term

Hey all, the term has started and i haven't been able to use the com that often cause i need to concentrate on my mid-years which are coming up very soon. Tomorrow, the choir will be going to VCH for the SYF rehearsal sort of sound-check. It from 10 plus to 2 plus then after that we have the CIP at raffles place. The songs that we're gonig to sing are kekatu, itsuki, lion sleeps tonight, vacuum 1, hikariga and lasting leagacy. But just now jeanette messaeged alto 1 that ms tong didn't want us to sing lastijg legacy. So i'm not sure what songs are we actually singing. By the way, the songs are not in running order.
The choir people will leave their class a while before recess, head to beethoven to change to court shoes, go down and have a quick recess and report back at beethoven by 10.30am. Then we will head for VCH already. I'll be missing a bit of e-maths, chem and legacy which don't really matter cause it's mainly just discussion. I hope the SYF rehearsal goes well. All the best...
On wednesday's choir practice, grace, jeanette, zhi jun and clara had a stomachache after eating KFC. Hahas, then grace said that she wanted to sue them for it. Clara couldn't sing halfway cause her braces were cutting her lips while zhi jun was not really feeling well. Practically almost the whole section was not doing as well with the SLs but we pushed ourselves and it was okay.
Today during geog and lit lesson, i was laughing all the time. Cause during geog, mrs tan wong didn't come and we had to do the LORMS corrections. I was playing with the calculator with si en and valerie and we kept laughing. Hahas. Then during lit, cause it was a new teacher and she's ms chan, i think. As the lesson was getting dry, my whole row of people started to lie on the table. Victoria laid, then xae-rl, followed by shawn, yogga and then me. When i got up and saw that almost the whole row was 'sleeping' i kept laughing. Soniya and smret didn't realise cause they were too busy counting the number of 'OK's she was saying. She's going to be the next ms su. Heh heh, ms chan said that she would try to cut down on her 'OK's from then on. Hahas, i was laughing like mad too after the 'power nap' which is what yogga and soniya says.
Well, i've got to go now. I've got loads of weekend homework to do as well as to change my new ez-link card. Everyone got their new ones butcause mine's giro linked, i have to go and change it personally. Oh yeah, yan jie! you were right, she really returned our test paper on the next term! Hahas, so funny. Anyways, i hope that the choir can draw people at raffles place to watch the performance. Bye! :D

Choir exchange at MGS

Heh heh. I shall start this post with a little interesting phrase, 'heh heh'. Hahas, cause yy always say that when she goes to my blog to read my post and she sees the beginning of the post which is always 'Hey peeps'. Well, i haven't been blogging often cause of this korean drama that i really like to watch. It's the korean version of 流行花园and it's called 'BOYS OVER FLOWERS'. I like the pairing of Ga-Eul and Yi Jung. They seem so perfect together.
Since the start of this holiday, i've watched episode 1 to 12 of boys over flowers. Tomorrow will be episode 9 and 10 then on monday is episode 11. Anyways, the choir had a choral workshop with jonathan velasco on thursday at st. nics and he said that he liked the solo part for kekatu because it sounded like COCKROACH. That's almost saying that we're quite bad at it. Elsa bought BAK KWA for him a a gift. Then today at MGS, it was an exchange with ms jeniffer tham and ms lim's choirs. She was said to have won the best conductor award in italy.
Then when it was our turn, i screwed up the same part of kekatu AGAIN. Aiyah, i'm very sian of screwing that part you know. It was okay at the beginning part but it's always the ending part that i screw up. Sad ah... After the exchange, the usual choir people went to eat lunch at eatzculture. I ate hong kong fried noodles, zhi jun and alethea ate ham fried rice then yy and yan jie ate chicken floss fried rice. I think their fried rice would taste better than noodles but it was not bad. Halfway through our meal, my mother joined us for the meal. All of them were scared and were behaving SUPER 乖when she came. Then on the way home, alethea hitched a ride to her house which is LE CRESCENDO or is it pronounced as lee CRESCENDO? Aiyah, 随便la.
During the meal, all of them keep laughing and zhi jun was like the most enthu person. My mother also said that she was like the most active in discussions. Hahas, oh yeah! Today i went to school with yy. Both of us had to wake up early so as to catch the bus cause usually it takes quite some time for it to come. I was talking about episode 11 and 12 of boys over flowers with her and you know what? When i was waiting for her at the void deck below my house, she 'BOO' me! Crazy ah, 七早八早想吓死人ah?! I just realised that i keep jumping here and there about the story. Aiyah, i'm like that one. See ah, i'm jumping again. During teh bus ride to annd fro from MGS and TKGS, me and yy were doing the CHA CHA cause the bus kept moving like mad. Hahas. So funny, then when we let zhi jun hear stand by me by SHINee, she say that she didn't like onew's voice. Ahh, how can she ah? Kidding kidding. But he's my 3rd favourite.
Well, this post is quite shoort cause i've got things to do and tomorrow i have makeup e-maths tuition. On friday, i'm missing the lessons after recess cause i'm leaving class at 10.10am, then i go to beethoven room to change to court shoes, bring scores plus pencil and water bottle down to have a quick recess and then we ahve to assemble at the foyer by 10.30am cause we got SYF rehearsal at VCH then during the evening from about 4.30 onwards. we ahve CIP or you would say the CLAP programme at raffles place near the OUB centre. Wah, the choir so busy man. Then 4 days after SYF got mid year, sian. Better jia you for this term and i hope this holiday would be a meaningful one. Bye! :D

Term 1 Holidays

Hey peeps, i read elsa's post for the choir just now and 有了一些感触about it. SYF is like 36 days from today onwards! Ahh, i didn't really felt scared but when the counting down starts, it's horror man. Well, we just have got to drill super hard if we want to get the GOLD WITH HONOURS! The GWH won't just drop down from the sky no matter how hard we pray for it. We just have to go 靠我们自己的能力来争取自己所要的成功right?
Anyways, the term 1 holidays has just started from yesterday and it's gonna last till next sunday. But the holiday won't seem like a holiday, AGAIN. Cause of the big pile of homework that is lying in my room waiting for me to complete. I havwe got 2 e-maths test papers from mrs tan ching yi, 1 20 question a-maths assignment on heymath, geog worksheet on weather and climate, 1 bio worksheet on enzymes, english newspaper reasearch to do on traffic in singapore, chinese spelling to learn and a-maths quiz on logs to study for. I bet the sec 4s have more work than us. Happy doing then, all of this work is because they want to drill us for our mid-years that will be coming REAL soon. It's the 1st time the sec 3s would be having their mid-years and i haven't been doing quite well so i better make sure to study.
Well, i ust hope that this holiday would be spent fruitfully as well as for the choir to get GWH through our hard work of course. There going to be quite a number of choir activities that we have to attend like on wednesday, we'll be going to CCH for sort of a small exhange cause ms lim said that she couldn't make it to come to TKGS for a session with us. Then on thursday we have an exchange at st. nics with JV. There's no practice on friday so i'm going for TKD training. On saturday, we have an exhange at MGS with jennifer tham. Talking about TKD training, today i had a TKD sparing course at STF from 2 to 5pm. It was quite okay, we learnt the different stances for kicking, punching as well as for other purposes.
I'm not able to come for TKD training the following week which is on the 27th March cause the choir has a SYF rehearsal at VCH and CIP or you would say the CLAP programme at Raffles Place Park near the OUB centre until quite late. On that day itself, i have to leave class during recess time cause the rehearsal slot that we got is quite early so we need to leave earlier. On our SYF performance day which is the 20th April, we will be missing the whole day of school even though our performance is at 4 plus. We will come to school later and then take a shuttled bus to the performance venue. Good luck to the choir as well as myself for the mid-years. Bye! :D

E-Learning Day 11 March 2009

Hey peeps, well today's e-learnind day. It started at 8am and i woke up only at 8.11am and realise that i overslept and that i missed 11 minutes of the e-learning which i could do more work. Sigh, i woke up and freshened up. I rushed about in the house getting all the materials that i neede for e-learning. Then i zoomed to my computer and switched it on. I quickly tried to finish all the assignments then zhi jun asked me to read her display message which said that for the choir people, their e-learning will be extended to 9pm today. Sianz, make me rush like mad.
Well, then i did lit first which was like i don't know what. The story was Fahrenheit 45 and it's about a guy named Montag who is a fireman, and he met this 17 year old girl named Clarisse. There were 6 questions and after completeting lit, i proceeded to chemistry. I went to the lesson and listened to it before i did the 20min quiz which had 20 questions. Out of the 20, i got 10 correct which is just pass. Quite disappointed, i went to heymath to do e-math and they test on coordinate geometry was horror. I wasn't really able to grasp the knowledge of coordinate geometry so i just applied the skills that mrs tan taught us yesterday and answered the questions. I went to listen to the lesson but then my test didn't work out well. I failed, so i better buck up really hard for mid-year man.
While all these tests were going on, soniya, shawn, valerie were chatting with me on msn. It was quite irritating at first cause i was reading throught some texts then the keep responding so quickly. But then, i was able to get some help along the way so from irritation, it became fun. Especially when i was talking to shawn and valerie. Yesterday, i did the chinese e-learning and then both of them came to chat with me on msn. Anyways, after the super disappointing e-maths, i went to do social studies. I seeked some help from yy in how to answer the question in such a small box. Yy enlightened me and i found out that you just arrange the PEEL accordingly by the letters ABCD. Cheh cheh, i thought that we had to write everything down in the small box alone. Madness man, hahas.
After social studies, it was time for me to chekc whether i did all my assignments or not. I'll check one more time after i come back from choir. Sadly, THURSDAY'S ASSEMBLY PERFORMANCE IS CANCELLED. They said that it was because there was not enough time so they cancelled our performance. Me, yy and vivian were the first few to find out when ms tong wrote it on the choir board. We were whinning to her and vivian said that why must cancel cause her classmates wanted to watch the performance. Ms tong BURST MY BUBBLE (learnt it from valerie). Anyways, i'm going to leave my house soon for choir so i'm just going to check whether i've completed all the assignments before i leave. Or not i very 不放心.
Well, it's time for me to stop penning, or you would say typing for now. Got to go choir soon. Ms lim's coming at 2pm today so jia you everyone. Better not make her angry. Bye! :D

Choir practice on 7 March 2009

Hey peeps, had choir practice today. We had to come earlier today cause chung cheng high main school choir was coming over to 'hear' and 'see' how we do our practice. So we had to come at aroud 7.30 cause kiasu mah. Attendance taking was at 7.45 and nobody wanted to be late. Warissara came late for 40mins because she overslept so sop 1 had to stay for 40mis later. I was super tired today cause yesterday i watched the thailand horror movie, Shutter yeterday until 1am with my mother then i went to sleep. When i dozed off, the show wasn't over yet. I wanted to stay awake longer but i couldn't cause my whole IMMUNE system was totally SHUTTING DOWN in progress... -_-"
Yups, this whole shutting down process was due to the TKD training that i had after choir on friday and we were busy training for the tournaments that were coming up. There's the Inter School TKD competition and i've asked shi bei to join plus some other people that she know who learn TKD in tkgs. Anyways, the horror show was so scary but interesting. I like to watch horror movies and hear them but i just don't like to see the face of the ghost, that's all. Cause i will 乱想. I woke up at 6.15 this morning and my dad sent me to school. When i reached school, only alethea and louise was there plus a few band people. I was quite surprised cause i didn't expect them to come so early. Well, i talked to alethea until more choristers came, it started raining so we didn't run at the basketball court. Instead, we ran around the 3rd floor for 3 rounds. Sop 1 was like the noisiest section of all lah. Keep laughing here and there.
After our physical training, we did warm-ups and ms lim came. We went to the foyer to sing cause ms lim wanted to see if we could project our sound out. Then we went back to beethoven room cause the band was also practicing so ms lim asked us to go back. We sang the more important songs which were itsuki and kekatu. We drilled quite a lot and then at around 10.15, the chung cheng choir (girls only) came to beethoven room. They left at around 10.40 and ms lim did white horses with us until 11 then she left already. Ms tong was preparing her camera to take pictures of us cause our POSTURE was very bad. She talked to us about the choral excahnges that we were going to have at st. nics with JV and at MGS with jennifer tham.
While she was talking, the sop ones saw the sticker that i had behind my choir file and started 'KOPING' and laughing at them. They were busy choosing the faces that they wanted and i bet the whole of sop 1 plus grace has the sticker pasted at the back of our nametags. Hahas. I was sitting in front of clara and she kept laughing at so mant things which was super contagious. I kept laughing along with her also. After choir, i went lunch with the usual choir gang mates namely, yy, zhi jun, yan jie, alethea plus 2 special guests jeanette, rachel soh and xin yu. We went to parkway to eat. Guess what? I SAW VAERIE AT PARKWAY! I was so surprised i sort of screamed out and there was an echo cause i really didn't expect her to turn up there. Hahas. Yy, yan jie alethea, xin yu and i ate burger knig while zhi jun ate KFC and then rachel soh and jeanette ate long john. The 5 of us who ate not so heaty food were telling them to make sure that they take special good care of their voices.
I was like the 环保expert today cause after all 5 of us finished eating our burger king meal, i was packaging it nicely into a box that i folded and they other 4 of them were laughing at me saying that no wonder i like to draw my official logo, the earth. It's cause i'm so protective of the earth. Am i really like that? Hmm... I'm not sure about that, cause sometimes i do contaminate the earth you know. Anyways, after our lunch, we went to walk around a few shops before we went back. Yy, alethea and i went back together by bus 43.
When i reached home, i had to prepare for my e-maths tuition. After tuition, i was so bored that i did a VIDEO of SHINee's AMIGO with my brother in a very funny stuff toy version. We recorded it down and i'm going to show it to yy, yan jie and alethea plus all the crazy k-pop friends that i know. Hahas. Well, my leg is aching like mad now cause of the TKD training, all the standing in choir plus the 800m heats that i had last monday at VJC. I didn't even know that it was on that day so i had to borrow pe t-shirt and shorts from asyiqin. So pai seh. Anyways, i think i haven't said this before. My class is going to use AMIGO for cheer-leading. Yays, they say will stop after minho's rap. They wanted to use big bang's sunset glow but then very hard to stop the song halfway. Yy said that K-pop is like conquering TKGS this year. AMIGO was also chosen cause xae-rl is the song coodinator and hui ru is also inside cheer-leading. Asyiqin is also inside and she's a JK fan so she was fine with it. I'm telling you, I"M GOING TO LOVE THIS YEAR'S SORTS DAY A LOT! :D
Wells, you know alfizah and natasha from 3/5 are asking people around to join them for teachers' day performance this year. They wanted to perform MIROTIC and then they asked me whether i wanted jae joong or junsu cause yoo chun is NAWIRAH, yun ho I THINK IS ESTHER, and i bet changmin is ALFIZAH. Ji seon is also going to teach us the dance but she's not performing. I'm so happy this year, hahas. But if i choose jae joong, i'll have to start the singing 1st then if i choose junsu, i must be quite pro at his dance moves cause junsu's quite a good dancer. Aish, then yy and alethea wanted to form the SHINee group and perform for teachers' day also. Hahas, i can imagine how k-pop will influence our batch. At first for cheerleading, most of the people in the cheerleading group wanted an english song but if the whole class voted, majority wanted korean song so AMIGO was chosen.
Yups, so this is a brief introduction to what's happening. FOr my 800m, i got 6th place. Soniya was 1st, then sinthiya, followed by duan yi and andrea then finally jie shi and then me. I didn't know who was behind me cause like at the last 200m or so, i sprinted like a mad pig and jie shi was also sprinting but in the end she won me by a bit. Aiyah, i'm not gonig to have a grudge on her. If she wins me, she deserves it cause she trains well right? Well, i better rest well next week got upper sec assembly performance. I better not look at valerie cause i CONFIRM 100% cannot concentrate one. You know today during the bus ride to parkway for lunch, yy, yan jie, alethea, xin yu and i were watching DBSK's SURVIVOR MV on alethea's iPod then from SUVIVOR=SAVIPPER! Hahas, kept laughing non-stop. Also, from KEKATU=PIKACHU. Hahas, everyone come out from the POKE BALL lah.
Well, getting super exhausted now and i need to 'recharge' my battries. I wish the choir all the best for all performances as well as SYF. See you soon, bye! :D

Lower sec assembly performance

Hey peeps. Well, today the choir had the lower sec assembly performance at the school hall. String was also performing before the choir did. We had recess warm-ups then everybody had to leave their classes at 12 noon. But cause the sec 3s were a bit kiasu, we decided to leave at 11.55am. But then while me, si en and evangeline were having our lit lesson, yy, alethea, yan jie, sheryl tan, amanda, shi bei and risa were waiting outside for us. Ms sarah was wondering why are there people waiting outside the class. Then the 3 of us left the class with the others at a time which i thought was quite early, 11.50am.
Well, then at 12 noon, ms lim came to do some warm-ups before we went on stage. Usually SYF assembly performances are not conducted by the actual conductor but either the student or the assistant conductor. Ms lim said that she wanted to hear our sound for this kind of occasion so she conducted us then. We did the warm-ups, the 2 songs that we were going to sing which were itsuki and kekatu. We left at around 1.05 to 1.10pm for the hall. Then at around 1.20 plus, it was show time for the choir.
The first song itsuki was okay but i think that it wasn't the best that everyone could contribute as well as myself. Kekatu was the horror cause i kept getting my solo part wrong. It was okay at first at the front part of my solo but then at the last part when only me and clara clash, i got influenced and then i sang the last part wrongly. Aiyah! This cannot happen during SYF! Better buck up soon. At least i did improve a but from last saturday. Sigh! Sad ah...
Ms lim commented about our performance when we went back to beethoven room. The funny thing was that before we performed, SUPER A LOT of the sec 2s were like, "GO, (name)!" Crazy ah they. But it's lower sec la, so i bet the upper sec one will be even worser. Next week's going to be the upper sec one. Today we missed bio and a-maths. I didn't know whether to feel happy or not cause i didn't have to be bored during lesson but then i felt sad cause i was afraid that i wouldn't be able to catch up. Especially a-maths, i don't think i understand logs well enough.
Anyways, today's the SYF BALLOTING. I hope that we get a good day for our performance. Ms lim said that if we got the same day as her other 2 girls' school namely st. nics and nanyang girls' or either raffles girls', she wished us good luck. Sigh! But we will do our best one la. Tomorrow got choir again and then saturday got another practice. We have a lot of drilling to do for SYF. And also, the teachers said that we may be going to prague at the end of this year. I thought that it was korea but i just want to go overseas with friends cause i missed italy last time so i didn't mind where we went. Sigh! Well, got to eat my dinner now cause later i got a-maths tuition and i've got to also revise for my chinese reading test tomorrow. Aish, bye! :D
